Heroes of Might and Magic tools and calculators

Heroes 3

  • Heroes 3 secondary skill chance calculator

The class decides how often each skill comes up; Wisdom is offered once 6 levels have passed since it was last offered (3 for a magic class), and a magic school (Fire Magic, Air Magic, Water Magic, and Earth Magic) after 4 levels (3 for a magic class); a hero with eight skills is offered only upgrades. Pick the skills you take level by level to plan a hero, or state the two skills the game offered to find your hero's seed and see every later offer exactly.

  • Heroes 3 damage calculator

Each stack's Attack Skill and Defense Skill, shown when you right-click it in battle, meet first: the higher Attack Skill raises the damage and the higher Defense Skill lowers it. The attacking hero's Offense or Archery, the defending hero's Armorer, and Shield, Air Shield and Stone Skin on the defender change it further. Set both stacks to see each strike, the losses and the survivors at the lowest and the highest rolls.

  • Heroes 3 spell calculator

A spell's value is its effect at the cast level plus its coefficient times Spell Power. The best of Fire Magic, Air Magic, Water Magic, and Earth Magic among the spell's schools sets that level, an orb of the spell's school multiplies the value by one and a half, and Sorcery adds its share; golems take part of it and opposed elementals take double. Pick a spell and a target stack to see the value, the mana cost and the losses.

  • Heroes 3 hero comparison

Pick heroes to compare their class, starting primary and secondary skills, starting army as the range each stack rolls in, starting spell and specialty, with what the specialty adds at the level you set.

  • Heroes 3 town build planner

Choose a town and the structures you want: the plan lists every structure they require, each after its own requirements, with its cost, the running total and a week of recruits from each dwelling. Mark what the town already has to plan from there. Enter the kingdom's resources and income to see the day each structure can be built and the resource it waits for.

  • Heroes 3 randomizer

Set the number of players and the towns to leave out to roll a town and a hero of that town for each player from one seed. The same seed gives everyone the same towns and heroes, so a challenge or a group game can be checked.

  • Heroes 3 army strength calculator

Strength is the sum of each stack's AI value times its count over the hero's army slots, raised by the hero's Attack Skill and Defense Skill. A neutral stack's strength is its AI value times its count.

  • Heroes 3 Diplomacy calculator

The stack compares the hero's army strength with its own, counts the creatures of its kind in the army, adds Diplomacy, and weighs it all against an aggression it drew when the map was loaded. Each row below is one aggression the stack can hold.

  • Heroes 3 Necromancy calculator

The share raised grows with the level of Necromancy, with the artifacts Amulet of the Undertaker, Vampire's Cowl, and Dead Man's Boots and with each Necropolis of the player that adds to it; Cloak of the Undead King raises stronger undead instead. Set the fallen stacks of a planned fight to see the count and what each choice adds.

  • Heroes 3 surrender cost calculator

The price is half of what the surviving creatures cost to recruit, lowered by Diplomacy, Statesman's Medal, Diplomat's Ring, and Ambassador's Sash.

  • Heroes 3 movement calculator

Every step costs points by terrain, and Pathfinding lowers the cost of rough terrain.

  • Heroes 3 combination artifact builder

Choose a hero and what the hero carries in the backpack to see which combinations they complete, which parts are missing, the slot each part goes in and what has to come off for it, and the maps that place each part. The game can split an assembled combination back into its parts.

  • Heroes 3 creature comparison

Add creatures from the table to see them side by side, with what each one's gold buys and how many hit points its dwelling yields in a week.

  • Heroes 3 maps and scenarios

Here the game's maps filter by size, players, human players, victory condition, version and underground level, each with its overview, and every map opens on its own page with its objects.

  • HoMM: Survivors, a Heroes 3 survivors game

Hold off on a second hero at first. Only one hero takes the field each day and a run's experience goes only to that hero, so the 2,500 gold hire cost is half the price of a Fort. A hero learns from the Mage Guild of the town where they were hired or last rose, so hire where the guild suits them, and when a hero falls, pick the Tavern in the town whose guild you want them to learn from.
