Legend of the Templar Grave -- The Knights Templar take their name from the Temple of King Solomon, whose precincts they were stationed to protect during the turmoil of the Crusades. Their highly developed code of honor prevented any Templar from retreating in battle. Some say this was to assure the morale of the Templars and prevent their use in a lost cause. Others say it is because the Templars charter did not allow ransom for captives.
