Event on Black Forest

You meet a young lad, Arioch, on the road who is travelling in the same direction. He asks if he may join your party. Arioch offers his services as a "fine cook" in return for protection from the "many bandits" who inhabit these parts. You consent, and that night he cooks an excellent repast from your rudimentary supplies. In the morning your men complain of missing valuables. Arioch is missing and so are your saddlebags.
